In the sewers below the building, the resistance agents are trying to sneak through to the underground levels where they believe Tetsuo is being kept. As they wade through the filthy water, an odd whining sound reaches them. They duck for cover and are amazed to see a security man on a flying sled. The general size and shape of a snowmobile, the vehicle has no visible means of propulsion but is highly maneuverable and capable of great speed. It disappears around a bend, and the agents regroup. But, before they can decide on a course of action, the machine returns and catches them full in its headlamp. The pilot broadcasts an alert: “We’re in Tunnel 304H. Contact with intruders. Engage deadly force. Request reinforcements!”
